ImageRight: The RT File Structure

The file structure for brokerage and binding authority teams can be found on the next page. This is an expanded view of the folders and document types available when importing into an ImageRight File. All ImageRight files have the following hierarchical components:  DrawerFileFolderDocument, and Page. Each are explained below.


Drawer

  • One drawer exists for each office/division (i.e., New York, Chicago, etc.)
  • Each drawer contains holds multiple policy/submission files.









    File
    • file exists for each submission/policy record in the agency management system.
    • Each file displays attributes with data from the agency management system (named insured, coverage, effective date, etc.)
    • Each file is assigned a unique file number.
    • Each file can contain multiple folders.





  • Folder
    • Folders are indicated with the  symbol.
    • Folders divide the file into sections.
    • Folder examples: Submission/Marketing, Policy, Endorsements, Billing.
    • Similar/related documents are grouped together.
    • Each folder can contain multiple documents





  • Document
    • Documents are indicated with the  symbol.
    • Single or multi-page documents can be imported to ImageRight. 
    • Documents can be PDF or native formats (Email, Word, Excel, JPEG image, etc.) 
    • Multi-page documents can be stored as individual pages.
    • Document types can be further amplified with a document description.
    • Documents can be expanded to show pages.





  • Page
    • Pages can be the individual pages of a multi-page document.
    • Pages can also be a group of documents related to the same topic or message.
    • Example:  Pages of an ImageRight document could be an original email (MSG) and each attachment to that email (PDF, XLS, etc.)
