1. Entering New Business
a.RTS Kansas City clears a new insured and lists Marsh as the retail agent.
2. Quoting
a. When quoting, the Dallas office is entered as the market. The gross commission and risk company are based on the binder sent by RTS Dallas.
3. Fee Schedule
a. The $250 RTS Dallas fee and $75 Strata fee are combined as one entry as duplicate fee entries are not allowed.
4. Surplus Lines Tax Calculator
a. The Responsible Filing for surplus lines tax is set to In House and payable to the state.
RT Specialty – Dallas (closest relationship to the market)
1. Entering New Business
a.RTS Dallas clears a new insured and lists the Kansas City office as the retail agent.
2. Quoting
a. When quoting, Strata Underwriting Managers is entered as the market. The gross commission and risk company are based on the binder sent by Strata.
3. Fee Schedule
a. Fees charged by the retail agent, RTS Kansas City, are not included.
4. Surplus Lines Tax Calculator
a. The Responsible Filing for surplus lines tax is set to Retail Agent/Broker and the Paid To box is blank. This will not show on the quote, binder, or invoice because the retail agent, RTS Kansas City, is responsible for the filing.
