ImageRight has options to customize how information is displayed and how documents are viewed.


Customizing the Toolbar


The ImageRight toolbar can be customized to fit your needs.

Adding Command Shortcuts


1. Right-click the area next to the toolbars and click Customize.


 


2. Click the Commands tab in the Customize box.

 

3. Select an item in the Categories list to filter the commands displayed. In the Commands list, locate the command that you would like to add to the toolbar.

 


4. Drag the command to the toolbar and drop it where you would like it to appear, as indicated by the black line.


 


5. Click Close to save your changes.


 

 

Removing Command Shortcuts


1. Right-click the area next to the toolbars and click Customize.


 


2. Drag and drop the command off the toolbar.


 


 

 

Modifying the Appearance


Both the toolbar icons and menu bar drop down icons can be enlarged.


1. Right-click the area next to the toolbars and click Customize.


 


2. Under the Options tab, choose Large Icons on Menus and/or Large Icons on Toolbars.


 


 

Locking the Toolbar


Lock the toolbars to prevent it from accidentally being moved. Right-click in the area next to the toolbars and select Lock the Toolbars.



 

Customizing Lists


ImageRight allows you to customize the various lists that are displayed, that is, the columns, that are presented in the lists. While the explanations here are related to a limited number of lists, should remember that they can be applied to virtually any list. For example, the lists on these tabs: To Do List, Completed Items, and Task History.

Sorting the List


Grids can be sorted by clicking the column heading to sort ascending. Click again to sort in descending order. A small arrow will be added next to the column heading to indicate the direction of the sort order.


 

Changing the Column Width


Point at the border between the columns. When the pointer changes to https://help.vertafore.com/imagerightdesktop/content/resources/images/arrowresize3.png, drag the column to the desired size.


 

Changing the Order of Columns


Click and drag the column header and drop it off at the desired position. Red arrows appear to indicate where the column will be placed when you release the mouse button. Right-click on any column header to save the change.


 

Adding and Removing Columns


You can add or remove columns in the display and change the sort order, and you can save the modified column layout so that it will be used each time you start ImageRight Desktop.

1. Right-click on any column header and select Customize Columns


 


2. On the Add/Delete Columns tab, select the columns, indicated by https://help.vertafore.com/imagerightdesktop/content/resources/images/checkmark.png, that you want to display in the list. To remove a column from the list, clear the selection next to the column name. You can click https://help.vertafore.com/imagerightdesktop/content/resources/images/collapse3.png or https://help.vertafore.com/imagerightdesktop/content/resources/images/collapse2.png to expand and collapse the list.

 

 

 

3. To add columns with information specific to the file, expand Attributes located in the File section. The File section is not always located in the same place.

 


4. After selecting the columns to add or delete, click OK.


 


5. Once all changes have been made, right-click on any column header and select Save Column Layout.




 

Customizing the File Information Pane


The file information pane in ImageRight can be customized to add and remove various file attributes. In addition, the height and width of the file information pane can be adjusted.



Adding and Removing File Attributes


1. On the menu bar, click Options| Desktop Settings. The File Information Pane Appearance setting is already highlighted since it’s first in the list.  Expand the File tree. The File Name (insured name) and File Number are selected by default. Expand the Attributes tree.


2. The list of file attributes is not in alphabetical order. There are many file attributes in the list. The only attributes that apply to the RT Broker/BA file structure and populate data from CARL or AIM are:

  1. Agent[String] – will display the retail agency name
  2. DBA[String] – will display the “doing business as” name for the named insured
  3. Policy Number[String] – will display the policy number
  4. FEIN[String] – will display the insureds Federal Tax ID number (if used)
  5. Broker[String] – will display the assigned Broker or Underwriter name
  6. Assistant[String] – will display the assigned Broker or Underwriter Assistant name (if used)
  7. CustSvc[String] – will display the assigned team member name (if used)
  8. Effective[String] – will display the policy effective date
  9. Expiration[String] – will display the policy expiration date
  10. POC[String] – will display the retail agency contact name
  11. Coverage[String] – will display the coverage name
  12. Market Name[String] – will display the market company name
  13. Risk Name[String] – will display the risk company name
  14. Tax State[String] – will display the retail agency contact email address
  15. New/Renewal[String] – will display New Business or Renewal
  16. Policy Status[String] – will display the status of the submission/policy (i.e. Quote, Binder Issued)
  17. Agent Email[String] – will display the retail agency contact email address
  18. Legacy Acct No[String] – will display the account number on converted policies from a previous management system (if applicable) (i.e. Smith, Velocity, Sirius, and other AIM instances)

 



3. Enable the file attributes listed above that you want displayed in your file information pane. The order in which the attributes appear cannot be customized and is shown below. 


 


 4. The width file information pane can also be customized.  As the pane gets shorter, a scroll bar will appear in order to see any remaining file attributes.  To adjust the size, place your pointer on the bottom edge of the file information pane.   When your pointer changes to a vertical line, click and drag to adjust the size.


 


Customizing the File Tree


The File Tree Options that you select determine the amount of information that will be displayed in the file structure.



1. To customize the file tree, select Options|Desktop Settings from the menu bar.

 


2. Click on File Tree Options.


 

 

Folder Node Appearance 


Folder Node Appearance controls what is displayed as the folder title. Select or deselect the options and click Apply to see the change.

 


Document Node Appearance 


Document Node Appearance controls the order in which document titles are displayed. Select or deselect the options and click Apply to see the change.


 


 

 

Auto Expand Level 

Auto Expand Level dictates how the file tree expands each time you open a file. Click Apply and open any file to see the change.

Customizing the File Navigator

The File Navigator Options that you select control the appearance of the file related information in the navigation pane.




1. To customize the file navigator, select Options | Desktop Settings from the menu bar.

 


2. Click on File Navigator Options.

 


 

 

File Bar


The File Bar section allows you to configure the appearance of the file name and number in the file bar that appears at the top of the navigation pane.

 

By default, only the file name and number appear.  


1. To add the policy number, expand File in Fields to be displayed on the file bar.

 


 
 

2. Scroll down and expand Attributes

 


3. Select Policy Number[String] and click Apply.



The policy number now appears in the file bar.


 

Related Files


The appearance of Related Files can also be customized.

  • Show – The related branch will be shown in the hierarchical tree at all times.
  • Auto hide – The branch will be shown in the tree only when there are related files.
  • Flat list – All related files will be displayed in a single (flat) list.
  • Group by type – Related files will be grouped based on the file type to create a hierarchical tree.

 

Marked Pages


Marked Pages can be hidden from view if no pages are marked in the file.


 


Diaries and Tasks


Diaries and Tasks can be hidden from view if none exist in the file. You also can select, indicated by , the properties that you want displayed in the navigation pane. To change the order of the items in the display select an item and click the Move Up and Move Down buttons as needed.

 


Customizing the Viewer

You can select what types of files auto preview in the Image Viewer.


1. To customize the file tree, select Options | Desktop Settings from the menu bar.

 


 

 

2. Click on Miscellaneous Options|Viewer Options. Click Apply to save your changes.

 


 

 

When enabled, MS Word and MS Excel only preview a small part of the document. To view the entire document or make any edits, click Edit in External Application.
